This hotel is a dream for anyone who loves vehicles — planes, trains, and more are visible right from the window. I’ll cover what you can see from the room, how the views are positioned, and everything you need to know before booking.

All shuttle buses are free! They run roughly 1-2 times per hour, but schedules may change so I recommend checking the official hotel website for the latest times.

If the official website appears in Japanese, you can change the language from the menu in the top right corner.

Parking

The hotel is located about 5 minutes from the Narita Interchange on the expressway.

The parking lot is massive — with space for around 800 cars.

Parking is free for up to 6 hours with restaurant use. For hotel guests, it’s ¥500 (~$3) per night — with a daily maximum of ¥500 (~$3). Payment is made at the self-checkout machine in the lobby.

Let’s Check Out the Room!

The room has a simple, business hotel-style layout.

Open the inner door and you’ll find a window looking out over the runway and train tracks.

The bathroom is a standard Japanese unit bath. Depending on your plan, access to a large communal bath (ofuro — a traditional Japanese shared bathing facility) with sauna and a gym may be included. The runway view guaranteed plan included this access.

Bath towels are available at the communal bath and lobby, so you’ll have more than enough!

About Runway View Rooms

While the hotel offers several room types including twins and suites, runway view rooms appear to only be available as double rooms when searching plans online. If a runway view is your priority, make sure to book this specific room type.

The double bed felt a little cramped with our whole family squeezed in — but the room more than made up for it with how exciting it was! If you’re booking runway view rooms for more than two people and children will need their own space, getting two rooms might be worth considering.

What You Can See from the Window

The Runway Right in Front of You: Watch Planes Take Off!

We booked the plan with airplane views from the room. The runway is right there, and since the room faces the end of the runway, you can watch planes lift off just moments after takeoff — they’re practically at eye level!

The late afternoon sun was bright in our eyes, but we could see planes lined up waiting to take off —

— and the kids were completely glued to the window watching the planes take off.

It was a weekend, but planes were departing every 1-2 minutes. Watching a constant stream of aircraft take off right outside your window never gets old!

Train Views — Keisei Skyliner Included!

Train tracks run below the window, and you can see the Keikyu Line and Higashi-Narita Line passing by. We mostly spotted regular commuter trains.

The Narita Express (N’EX) runs on JR tracks and doesn’t pass here, but since this is on the Keisei Line, I got to see the Keisei Skyliner for the first time — the premium express train connecting Narita Airport to central Tokyo in about 40 minutes. I had no idea trains would be visible too, so that was a wonderful surprise!

You Can Even See Specialized Airport Vehicles!

The Narita Airport cargo entrance and ANA Cargo Base+ are right in front of the hotel, so you can also spot special vehicles like cargo trucks and airport police cars that you’d never normally get to see up close.

Planes, trains, and special vehicles — the nonstop parade of things to watch from the window was honestly better than I expected. If you have kids who love vehicles, that alone is reason enough to stay here!

Let’s Check the Location on the Map!

With the runway view guaranteed plan, your room faces the end of Runway A (the yellow section on the map). The Keisei Main Line and Narita Line (shown in pink) also run nearby — which is why you can spot trains from the window too.

The ANA Cargo Base+ (Cargo Building No. 8) and its gate are directly in front of the hotel, so trucks coming and going and specialized ground vehicles are a regular sight.

Here’s the big picture view. Runway A is used for both takeoffs and landings, so depending on the wind direction, you’ll see planes either lifting off or coming in to land — the approach changes throughout the day.

From the upper floors, the north side is also clearly visible, so you can watch planes on approach from far away all the way through to touchdown on the runway.

On the day we arrived, planes were taking off. The next morning they switched to landings partway through. Looking out the window and noticing “oh, the wind direction must have changed!” was really fascinating!

Dinner at Narita Airport — Using the Shuttle Bus

You can take the free shuttle bus from the hotel to Narita Airport.

It runs from 5 AM with the last bus around 9 PM, at roughly 1-2 buses per hour. The ride to the terminal takes about 15 minutes.

Shuttle buses also run to JR Narita Station and Aeon Mall Narita — convenient for visiting Naritasan Shinshoji Temple (a famous Buddhist temple and popular sightseeing spot nearby) or picking up souvenirs.

We headed to the food court at Terminal 1 for dinner.

There are several restaurant options, but the kids chose udon — a classic Japanese noodle dish.

We also picked up onigiri (Japanese rice balls) for a late-night snack and enjoyed them back in the room.

You can also eat outside the food court area. Planes aren’t as visible from there, but up on the upper level we spotted plenty of people with serious camera setups — clearly a popular plane-spotting area!

The sunset was absolutely beautiful.

If your timing works out, it’s well worth heading over for!

The other side had already turned to night. The stylish atmosphere and the planes overhead are distracting — just watch your step, as there are quite a few level changes, and it’s easy to lose track of little ones running around!

The Large Communal Bath (Ofuro)

Back at the hotel, it was bath time.

The room has its own bathroom, but since our plan included access to the large communal bath (ofuro — a traditional Japanese shared bathing facility), we decided to check it out.

Reception is on the 2nd floor where you pick up your locker key. We brought towels from our room, but they’re also available at the desk.

Depending on the accommodation plan, you can also use the hotel gym.

You remove your shoes, change into a yukata (a lightweight Japanese robe provided by the hotel) at the lockers, then head down one floor to the bath area.

The communal bath has 2 showers, 6 wash stations, a sauna, the main bath, and a cold plunge pool — a simple but well-equipped setup.

It feels more like a gym bath than a hotel spa, but that’s part of the charm.

The water was quite hot — personally I love a hot bath, so I was happy! The kids complained about the heat but ended up splashing around with the cold plunge water and dipping in and out of the main bath. Since it’s not a hot spring, the floor wasn’t slippery, and there was a hairdryer in the changing room.

The in-room bathroom is a standard unit bath. The building is older so there are some marks that just won’t come off no matter how hard you scrub — but the cleaning was thorough and it felt hygienic, so no worries there.

Other Facilities

Coin Laundry

Multiple washer-dryer machines are available on floors 4 and 5.

Convenience Store

There’s a Daily Yamazaki (a Japanese convenience store chain) on the 1st floor. They also carry a selection of Japanese snacks and small souvenirs — handy if you want to pick something up before heading out.

Bedtime: A Quick Note on Soundproofing

The windows are made of reinforced soundproof glass, so during the day, it’s surprisingly quiet—you only really notice a sound when a plane passes right by or a train goes through.

However, at bedtime and during the early morning hours, the surroundings become completely still, which makes the noises feel much louder.

Warning: The walls are on the thinner side! My husband told me our kids’ voices at their normal volume were audible in the hallway. We could also hear neighboring rooms fairly clearly at night. If you have young children, it’s worth winding down earlier in the evening to be considerate of other guests.

Child-Friendly Info: No Bed Guards for Rent

The hotel doesn’t provide bed rails as a loan item, so we put the kids against the wall and used the sofa cushions as a barrier on the other side.

For very young children, the hotel reportedly offers a separate baby bed rental for an additional fee — it’s worth confirming this in advance when booking.

Breakfast at the Restaurant with Airplane Views

Breakfast is buffet style. The salad and everything else we tried was delicious — a solid breakfast spread.

The entire restaurant is lined with windows overlooking Runway A — the open, airy feeling is fantastic.

Watching planes take off while you eat breakfast is a pretty special experience!

It was a clear day, so we could also see planes on their approach from the north from quite a distance away.

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Nonstop views of planes, trains, and special vehicles from the window
  • Quick and easy access to Narita Airport by free shuttle bus
  • Very affordable rates
  • The airplane view plan may allow a 1 PM check-in, giving you more time to enjoy the views from the room
Cons
  • Beds are on the smaller side. Once children need their own full-price room, booking two runway view rooms may be the better option
  • The building is older — well-cleaned, but shows its age
  • Walls are thin — noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway is noticeable

Who Is This Hotel Best For?

The rates are very reasonable.(¥5,000 (~$32) per night depending on the season.)

It’s a great choice for early morning flights or late-night arrivals, for anyone who loves planes, trains, and special vehicles, and as a convenient base for exploring not just Narita, but also day trips to Chiba and Ibaraki. Solo travelers, couples, families, and aviation fans alike will find something to love here.

Wrapping Up

With its affordable rates and incredible location, this hotel is a fantastic option for anyone wanting a place to recharge before or after a flight — or simply to experience what it’s like to watch planes take off right from your window. If you have kids who love vehicles, this place will absolutely blow their minds!
